Radford’s Elite solution to access control |
Radford Customer Guidance and Checkouts has launched its latest innovation in turnstile design – the two-armed Elite. Using a unique photocell ‘eye’ which senses a person’s approach, the turnstile’s motor drive automatically starts rotating the arms, with special software matching the speed of rotation to a user’s pace. The company claims that this pro-active process can increase pedestrian throughput by up to 25 pct over traditional turnstiles. The Elite can also be used with contact-less proximity readers – permitting ‘hands free’ operation – and, if it is connected directly to a fire alarm system, the arms will automatically move to the ‘open’ position when the alarm goes off. Near silent in operation, it also features low energy consumption and has a mechanism which is claimed to be virtually maintenance-free. leisure-kit keyword: Radford Close Window |
